Who we are

RiQ is operated by RiQ LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16411469), registered address 11th Floor, The Plaza, 100 Old Hall Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, England, L3 9JQ. What we collect on the waitlist

• Your name, work email, company and, if you give it, your UK mobile number.
• Your answers about your hire business and the RiQ products and apps you are interested in.
• Your consent choices for email and WhatsApp updates, with when and how you gave them.
• If you accept cookies, how you found us (for example the campaign link you used).

Why we use it

To record your place, contact you about the RiQ waitlist and launch, and, only if you opt in, send product news by email or WhatsApp. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are consent, for marketing updates by email or WhatsApp and for non-essential cookies (you can withdraw it at any time), and our legitimate interests, for recording your waitlist place and contacting you about your signup and the launch.

Who we share it with

We never sell your details. We use processors to run the service: Mailgun for email, our WhatsApp provider for WhatsApp messages and Google Cloud for hosting. Our hosting and email processing run in the UK and the EU. Where a processor or one of its sub-processors handles data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to keep it protected.

How long we keep it

Your signup is emailed to the RiQ team and kept in our mailbox for the waitlist. We keep waitlist details until RiQ launches for you, or for up to 24 months after you sign up if it does not, then delete them, unless you become a customer or ask us to delete them sooner. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as we rely on them.

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe from any email, reply STOP on WhatsApp, or change cookie choices from Cookie settings in the footer. You can ask to see, correct or delete your details. Under UK GDPR you also have the right to restrict or object to our use of them, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@riqrental.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
