RiQ

Switching from inspHire, Oct 2026

Moving on from inspHire?

inspHire Office and inspHire Corporate are now sold by Klipboard as OnRent Office and OnRent One. If you’re reviewing your hire system, here’s what RiQ (pronounced “Rick”) offers, and where OnRent may still suit you better. Facts about OnRent come from Klipboard’s public pages and trade press as of Oct 2026. RiQ is waitlist-only and onboarding in stages, tool and plant first.

Fully cloud-based, nothing to install

RiQ runs in the browser: no data server, no software on each PC and no backups to copy off-site. Klipboard describes OnRent Office as cloud-based. Its published system requirements for an installed setup describe a Windows data server running Microsoft SQL Server, the software installed on each computer, and local backups the customer must move off-site. Some public reviews of inspHire say they couldn’t get at the system online.

  • Sign in from a browser, in the depot, the van or at home
  • No servers, installs or local backups to manage
  • Data hosted in Europe

Customers book online, on your own domain

RiQ gives you a booking storefront on your own domain with your own branding. Customers see live availability and the price, then book and pay. Klipboard’s OnRent Office page describes quoting, invoicing and pay-by-link through Klipboard Money; it doesn’t describe a customer booking storefront.

  • Storefront on your own domain and branding
  • Live availability on every product
  • Card payments, deposits and pre-auths
  • Bookings land in your RiQ account

Booking built for tool and plant hire

RiQ was built running live tool and plant hire at National Tool Hire and Mammoth Hire. Required items and damage waiver are added at checkout, deposits are taken up front, and inspection records sit on the asset.

  • Live availability, bundles and required items
  • Damage waiver and hire-insurance lines
  • PAT, LOLER and PUWER records on the asset
  • Off-hire, exchange, extension and partial returns

Where OnRent may suit you better

Klipboard sells a range: OnRent Go for small and medium firms, OnRent Office for medium to large ones and OnRent One for multi-location, multi-country and multi-currency operations, per International Rental News. OnRent Office lists drag-and-drop resource planning and live asset tracking with telematics. If you run across several countries or currencies, check RiQ covers what you need before you plan anything.

  • OnRent Go: Klipboard’s cloud product for small and medium firms
  • OnRent One: multi-country and multi-currency
  • List the modules and reports you use every week
