Heating, drying & cooling hire software
Heater and dehumidifier hire software, ready for the cold snap.
Heaters, dehumidifiers, fans and air conditioning units sit quiet for weeks, then everyone wants one on the same morning. RiQ (pronounced “Rick”) keeps the stock, the electrical records and the invoice on one hire, so you can take the rush without losing track. Fully cloud-based, with nothing to install on your premises.
Prices that follow the season, never below your floor
Demand for heating and drying kit swings with the weather. The Dynamic Pricing app sets utilisation, season and lead-time rules, with a floor and a ceiling price on each item, so a busy week earns more and a quiet one never sells below the price you set. Customers see live availability and the price on screen, then book and pay online on your own domain and branding.

- Floor and ceiling prices
- Online booking with live availability
- Runs on your own domain and branding
Electrical records on every unit
Most of this kit plugs in. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require electrical systems to be maintained, as may be necessary to prevent danger, so far as is reasonably practicable (regulation 4(2)). For tool hire businesses, HSE strongly recommends that equipment is formally inspected and tested before each hire. The duty stays with you; RiQ keeps the evidence to hand. PAT records sit on each asset, inspections are logged at off-hire, and the Certificates & Inspections app sends records to the customer with every hire.
- PAT records on the asset
- Inspections logged against the asset at off-hire
- Certificates sent with the hire
- Workshop and servicing
Drying jobs that run longer than planned
A drying job or a site heating hire often runs for weeks and changes as it goes. Extend, exchange or part-return a hire with the customer’s price locked, keep regular customers on trade accounts and credit terms, and let them request collection themselves. Return reminders can go out by SMS or WhatsApp.
- Off-hire, exchange, extension and partial returns
- Trade accounts and credit terms
- Customer collection requests

Never say no in a busy week
When one depot runs dry, see stock across every depot and transfer it, or cross-hire and route the job to a partner instead of turning the customer away. Add hoses, ducting and extension leads as required items or offer them at checkout, and plan multi-drop delivery and collection runs.
- Multi-depot availability and transfers
- Cross-hire and partner network overflow
- Add-ons at checkout (Upsell & Bundles Pro)
- Route Optimiser for multi-drop runs
