Lifting gear hire software

Lifting equipment hire software, certificates sent with the kit.

Chain blocks, lever hoists, gantries, slings and shackles all go out under LOLER, and each one needs its paperwork. RiQ (pronounced “Rick”) keeps the examination records, the parts and the invoice on one hire, so the right certificate goes out with the kit. Fully cloud-based, with nothing to install on your premises.

The last thorough examination goes out with the hire

Under LOLER, lifting equipment should not leave your business without physical evidence of its last thorough examination (regulation 9(4)). LOLER also sets a thorough examination at least every 6 months for lifting accessories and equipment for lifting people, and every 12 months for other lifting equipment, unless an examination scheme sets other intervals. The duty stays with you; RiQ keeps the evidence to hand. Examination reports and certificates sit on each asset, and the Certificates & Inspections app sends them to the customer with every hire.

  • LOLER, PUWER and PAT records on the asset
  • Certificates sent with the hire
  • Workshop, servicing and inspection records
  • Self-Service Portal: invoices and certificates for your customers

Hoists and gantries that go out as a set

Set a gantry up as a bundle with its trolley and hoist, or a chain block with the slings and shackles that go with it, so required items are added to every booking automatically. The Barcode / RFID Scanning app checks each item out and back in by phone or scanner, and the Condition Photos app records how it left and how it came back.

  • Bundles and required items
  • Barcode / RFID Scanning app
  • Condition Photos app
  • Multi-depot availability and transfers

Trade hire on account, returned in stages

Lifting gear often goes out on trade accounts and comes back a piece at a time. Extend, exchange or part-return a hire with the customer’s price locked, and let site managers request collection themselves. Return reminders can go out by SMS or WhatsApp.

  • Off-hire, exchange, extension and partial returns
  • Trade accounts and credit terms
  • Customer collection requests
  • SMS & WhatsApp Notifications app

Online booking on your own site

Customers check live availability, then book and pay online on your own domain and branding, with deposits and damage waiver taken at checkout. When an item is out or the job is out of area, cross-hire it or route it to a partner instead of turning it away.

  • Online booking with live availability
  • Card payments, deposits and pre-auths
  • Damage waiver and hire-insurance lines
  • Cross-hire and partner network overflow
