Breaker & concrete tool hire software
Breaker and concrete tool hire software, with the paperwork on every unit.
Breakers, SDS and core drills, floor saws, wall chasers and compaction plates go out to groundworkers and builders on account and to homeowners for a weekend. RiQ (pronounced “Rick”) keeps the tool, its records and the invoice on one hire. Fully cloud-based, with nothing to install on your premises.
Your customers have to assess vibration
Under the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005, which apply in Great Britain, the daily exposure action value for hand-arm vibration is 2.5 m/s² A(8) and the daily exposure limit value is 5 m/s² A(8) (regulation 4(1)). An employer whose work is liable to expose employees to risk from vibration must make a suitable and sufficient risk assessment (regulation 5(1)), assessing daily exposure by reference to information on the probable magnitude of vibration from the equipment used (regulation 5(2)(b)) and considering any information provided by the manufacturers of the work equipment (regulation 5(3)(d)). That duty sits with the employer using the tool; RiQ keeps the information to hand. Inspection records and handover paperwork are attached to every unit, so the customer gets them with every hire.

- Certificates sent with the hire

The tool and what goes with it, on one booking
A breaker goes out with its chisels and points, a floor saw with blades and a water bowser, a core drill with its stand. Set these up as bundles and required items so they are added to every booking automatically and availability is checked for every piece. Offer consumables, PPE and attachments at checkout with Upsell & Bundles Pro, and record how each tool left and came back with the Condition Photos app.
- Bundles and required items
- Add-ons at checkout (Upsell & Bundles Pro)
- Condition Photos app
- Barcode / RFID Scanning app for check-out and check-in
Prices that follow demand, never below your floor
The Dynamic Pricing app sets utilisation, season and lead-time rules, with a floor and a ceiling price on each item, so a busy week earns more and a quiet one never sells below the price you set. The price the customer sees is locked at checkout.

- Floor and ceiling prices
- Price locked at checkout
- Multi-depot availability and transfers
Weekend homeowners and builders on account
Homeowners can check live availability, then book and pay online on your own domain and branding, with deposits and damage waiver added at checkout and the ID & Licence Check app running ID checks before they arrive. Groundworkers and builders keep tools out on trade accounts, extend or part-return a hire with their price locked, and request collection themselves. Heavier plates and saws go out on planned delivery and collection runs.
- Online booking with live availability
- Deposits and damage waiver at checkout
- Trade accounts and credit terms
- Delivery & collection planning, driver app
